Here are some of the things we do....

Drives
Drives take place at different venues throughout the year. A route is worked out in advance and you are given a map on arrival, usually there is a long or short route along quite country lanes, some drives maybe partly or all off road. You go at your own pace, there is always plenty of horse box parking and time for tea/coffee, cakes and a chat afterwards.
Trials
Horse Driving Trials held indoors during the winter and outside in the summer.
Show/Fun days
Always popular as there is something for everyone from complete beginners to very experienced drivers. We do a variety of things like clear round cones, showing, fancy dress, world cup style events, jump and drive and a whole lot more, it really is a family affair, set in the beautiful grounds of Godmersham Park.
Training Days
Our training days invaluable for drivers to improve their driving skills they are suitable for everyone whether you are a beginner or advanced driver. Even if you don’t have a horse just come along and watch you are bound to learn something.
Talks/social evenings
We Have a summer BBQ where we sometimes invite guest speakers to give talks, often including film/video or slide shows, on various horsey subjects.
Visits and trips
We have trips and visits out to various places such as Olympia.
Non–members, juniors and novices are always welcome to join us at our events (subject to suitable insurance and assessment if driving)

Get Involved
We're always delighted to welcome new members as drivers or supporter’s. Many of our non-driving members play a very important role by helping out at our events and this is always much appreciated as the events would not be able to go ahead without the help of volunteers.
No knowledge of carriage driving is needed as full training will be given in the job, it’s a great way to meet new friends and get into the sport of carriage driving.
Not sure what’s involved? Just come along to one of our events and watch the action and have a chat to other members.
